About our Nerines – strong autumn bloomers with character
Our Nerines are carefully selected for the temperate European climate and bring colour to your garden just when most other plants have faded. From white to soft and deep pink, these graceful autumn flowers return year after year – as long as you give them time to settle in.
Plant your Nerines in April in a sunny spot, shallowly with the neck above the soil, and water regularly until they are well rooted. In the first year, flowering may be limited as the plant focuses on root and leaf growth. From the second year onward, they’ll bloom more abundantly and naturally produce small baby bulbs.
After flowering, the leaves die back and the bulbs go dormant for winter. In mild winters, you can leave them in the ground, covered with leaves or mulch. Expecting heavy frost? Dig them up and store them in a cool, frost-free place.
