Very convenient for sowing and germinating vegetable or flower seeds in a greenhouse or indoors, which can later be transplanted to the garden once the seedlings are strong enough.
Advantages of starting seeds indoors or in a greenhouse: higher germination rates, less seed needed, many seedlings in a small space, and better results.
